Caution
The above table only lists the maintenance requirements for vehicles traveling within
20000 km (12400 miles)/24 months, and the maintenance interval for vehicles traveling over
20000 km (12400 miles)/24 months is the same as the above table.
1.2.2 Maintenance content
Braking device
1. Inspection of brake discs and brake caliper friction pads.
• Brake discs and caliper pads
① Remove the wheel and caliper, but do not detach the brake hose from the caliper.
② Check the front disc brake caliper friction pads and brake discs for wear and
damage. Tighten the brake caliper pins as specified.
△
! Caution
If you hear noise from the brake when stepping on the brake pedal, check the brake pad
lining for wear. If worn, both the left and right brake pads should be replaced.
2. Inspection of brake hose and brake pipe
• Adequate light is required for this inspection and mirrors are used as needed
① Check whether the brake hose and brake pipe are connected correctly, and whether
there are leaks, cracks, scratches, wear, corrosion, bending, twisting, and other damages.
Replace those components if necessary.
② Check the tightness of all clips and connections for leakage.
③ Check whether these hoses and hard pipes are free of edges and corners.
△
! Caution
After all pipes are replaced, the gas in the pipes must be discharged.
3. Inspection and replacement of the brake fluid
• Inspection
① Check the brake master cylinder and reservoir for fluid leakage. If any leakage is
found, please eliminate it.
② Check the fluid level. If the fluid level is lower than the minimum level in the
reservoir, it is necessary to refill the brake fluid, but the specified brake fluid should be
added.
• Replace
Change the brake fluid as described below. Thoroughly drain the brake fluid from the
braking system and fill it with the previously recommended brake fluid.
