Inspection
1 - Battery; 2-Wiper motor; 3-Red conductor;
4-Black conductor; 5-Jumper
1. As shown in the left figure, connect the
(+) pole of the low voltage battery to the "A"
terminal and the (-) pole to the bracket
(wiper grounded). If the motor rotates at a
low speed of 45 to 55 revolutions per
minute, it indicates that it is normal. As for
high speed inspection, connect the (+) pole
of the low voltage battery to the "B"
terminal and the (-) pole to the bracket
(wiper grounded). If the motor rotates at a
high speed of 67 to 83 revolutions per
minute, it indicates that it is normal.
2. Test the automatic stop action.
a. Connect the low voltage battery (+) pole
to the "A" terminal of the wiper motor,
connect the (-) pole to the bracket (wiper
grounded), and let the motor run.
b. Disconnect the "A" terminal from the
battery and stop the motor.
c. Connect the "A" terminal and the "D"
terminal across the wire, and connect the
"C" terminal to the battery (+) pole. Observe
the motor's rotation again, and then stop at
the specified position.
d. Repeat steps a to c several times to
observe whether the motors have all
stopped at the specified position.
