9.7.3 Hydraulic braking EEC type
The trailer braking system acts proportionally to the pressure
exertedonthebrakepedalofthemachine.
To connect the hydraulic braking system of the trailer to the
hydraulic braking system of the machine it is necessary to (fig.
1602011):
– Make the trailer approaching operations and connect it to
theappropriatehookforvehicletrailers.
– Applytheparkingbrakeinthecabandgetoutofthevehicle.
– Pressandholdthebutton“2”toreleasethepressureofthe
hydraulicbrakingsystem.
– Connectthetrailerbrakingcircuittothehydraulicsocket“1”.
– Relasethebutton"2".
Ifthecouplerisnotused,itmustbeadequatelyprotectedwithits
cap.

To disconnect the trailer hydraulic braking system from the
vehicle(fig.1602012):
– Position the vehicle and the trailer on level andnotsloped
ground.
DANGER!If it is not possible to position the vehicle and
the trailer on a not sloped ground, place wedges under
the wheels of the trailer and engage the negative brake
of the vehicle to prevent movement during the
operation.
– Pressandholdthebutton“2”toreleasethepressureofthe
hydraulicbrakingsystem.
– Press and hold the button “2” and remove the hydraulic
connectionfromthesocket“1”.
– Continuethetrailerreleaseoperations.
Ifthecouplerisnotused,itmustbeadequatelyprotectedwithits
cap.

DANGER
By activating the parking brake on the machine, the trailer connected to the machine is
braked only until the machine engine is on. Turning off the vehicle engine, or pressing the
button "2" when the trailer braking circuit is connected to the vehicle, the trailer will be
not braked; instead the vehicle will continue to be braked with the negative parking
brake.
Pay utmost attention in the case of sloping ground. Place chocks under the trailer wheels to prevent
accidental movement.
