12.4.4 Battery cut-off switch
WARNING
Use this switch only when the engine is stopped.
Thebatteryisolator"1"(1507311)allowstheoperatortoisolate
the battery from the electrical circuit in case of emergency or
duringmaintenanceoperations.
Toisolatethebattery:
– Turnofftheengine.
– Turntheignitionkeytoposition"0".
– Turnthebatteryisolatorcounterclockwisetotheoffposition.

NOTICE
If the vehicle is provided with the basket prearrangement it is also provided with a battery isolator with
removable key, to ensure that it is not used accidentally.
12.4.5 Battery: Replacement
The machine is equipped with a battery located on the rear
centralpartofthechassis“2”(fig.1507321).Toaccessthebattery
itisnecessarytoremovetheprotectionguard“3”.
Before removing the battery disconnect it from the electrical
circuit through the appropriate battery isolator, following the
instructionsgivenintherelevantchapter.
Toremovethebattery:
– Placethevehicleintheservice positionasdescribed inthe
"Settingthevehicleformaintenance"section.
– Toaccessthebatteryitisnecessarytoremovetheprotection
guards.
– DisconnecttheNEGATIVEcable(black)fromthebattery.
– DisconnectthePOSITIVEcable(red)fromthebattery.
– Removethebatteryfromthevehicle.
– Placethenewbattery.
– ConnectthePOSITIVE(red)cabletothebattery.
– ConnecttheNEGATIVE(black)cabletothebattery.
– Reactivatethebatteryisolator.
– Closetheenginehood.
