3.8.3 Dismantling the needle bar

To dismantle the needle bar:
1. Remove linkage and needle bar ( p. 28).
2. Unscrew the screw (1).
3. Loosen the needle holder (2).
4. Loosen the screw (4).
5. Loosen the spring counter bearing (3).
Important
Spring counter bearing is spring-loaded. Before loosening screw (4), sup-
port the spring counter bearing using a Ø 4 mm pin that you insert into the
needle bar from the bottom.
6. Remove the parts housed in the needle bar one at a time from the
bottom.
