3.9.4 Setting the needle holder height

Proper setting
In the loop stroke position, the distance (1) from the top edge of the needle
eye to the tip of the hook must be 1.5 mm.
You set the distance by using the measuring bridge (3) (part number
0212 004942) and the measuring pin (2) (part number 0216 001070).
To set the needle holder height:
1. Remove the throat plate.
2. Turn the needle bar to the loop stroke position.
3. Insert the locking peg through the hole in the machine arm.
 The locking peg must engage in the slot of the arm shaft crank.
4. Check the position of the needles to the hook tips.
WARNING
Risk of injury from sharp and moving parts!
Puncture or crushing possible.
Do not check and adjust the needle holder height
unless the sewing unit is switched off.
NEVER reach into the area of the middle knife.
