3.8.4 Assembling the needle bar

To assemble the needle bar:
1. Screw the locking bolt (17) firmly into the needle bar (3).
2. Pre-assemble the lower coupling bar (2) following the order given in
the figure above.
3. Tighten the nut (11) and secure the cap nut (12) in such a way that the
gap between the lower edge of the taper sleeve (9) and the top edge
of the cap nut (12) is 30.5 mm
Important
Strictly follow this dimension (30.5 mm) as it is necessary for allowing the
coupling to exert the retaining force required for needle penetration.
