8.1 Setting the swivel arm

Proper setting
The swivel arm (1) should stand in parallel position to the machine arm.
When swiveling in front of the arm, make sure the arm snaps securely into
place.
To adjust the swivel arm:
1. Swing out the swivel arm (1) with the light barriers.
2. Swing the swivel arm (1) back and check the pressure of the locking
screw (3).
3. Check the position of the swivel arm (1) in relation to the machine head.
4. Loosen the counternut (4).
WARNING
Risk of injury from moving parts!
Crushing possible.
Set the swivel arm of the reflected light barrier only
with the sewing unit switched off.
