5.3 Setting the distance of the transport clamps to the folder
sole

Proper setting
There must be a specific distance between the outer edges of the folder
sole (2) and the inner edges of the transport clamps (1). The distance for
moderately heavy clothing fabric must be approx. 1.0 mm to 1.5 mm.
This distance is necessary to ensure both uniform piping strips and unhin-
dered transport of the sewing material.
WARNING
Risk of injury from moving parts!
Crushing possible.
Check and set the transport clamps only with utmost
caution and with the sewing unit switched on.
NOTICE
Property damage may occur!
The transport clamp may damage the folder sole.
The folder sole may damage the transport clamp.
The transport clamp position must be adjusted to the appropriate
folder.
