3. Place the gage (3) on the throat plate support (4).
The measuring sleeve (2) of the gage must reach over the hook shaft
journal.
4. Check if the flange surface (1) of the hook shaft abuts on the measuring
sleeve (2) of the gage.

5. Swivel up the machine head ( p. 16).
6. Remove the plastic stoppers (5).
7. Loosen the screws found below the plastic stoppers (5).
8. Loosen the screws (7).
9. Slide the flange surface of the hook shaft (1) under the measuring
sleeve (2) of the gage.
To do so, position a screwdriver under the flange surface (1). If the
hook shaft position is too high, lightly tap on the flange surface (1) to
push the hook shaft down.
10. In this position, tighten the screws found below the plastic stoppers (5).
11. Slide the sleeve (6) against the hook shaft as far as it will go.
12. Tighten the screws (7) on the surfaces of the sleeve (6).
13. Re-assemble hook and throat plate ( p. 56).
