Information
The bobbin case holding wire (3) holds the top and the bottom parts of the
bobbin case in place at a certain position against the rotary movement of
the hook.
The needle thread loop that is guided around the hook is pulled through
between the elastic bobbin case holding wire (3) and edge 1 (4) of the bob-
bin case top part. The bobbin case holding wire (3) ensures that the thread
can pass unhindered via the lug of the bobbin case bottom part and
through the slot in the throat plate.
Proper setting
The gap between the edge of the holding lug (7) and the edge of the throat
plate cutout must be 0.6 mm to 1 mm to allow the thread to pass through.
In this position, edge 2 (5) of the bobbin case top part is approximately par-
allel to the throat plate.
The bobbin case holding wire (3) must project from the plate (1) by 13 mm
and abut precisely in front of edge 1 (4) of the bobbin case top part (6).
To adjust the bobbin case holding wire:
1. Turn the bobbin case top part (6) against the bobbin case holding
wire (3).
2. Check the distance between holding lug (7) and throat plate cutout.
3. Measure the length of the bobbin case holding wire (3).
4. Loosen the clamping screw (9).
5. Adjust the bobbin case holding wire (3).
The bobbin case holding wire (3) must project from the plate (1) by
13 mm.
6. Tighten the clamping screw (9).
7. Loosen the screw (2).
8. Adjust the height of the plate (1).
The bobbin case holding wire (3) must abut in front of edge 2 (5) of
the bobbin case top part (6).
9. Tighten the screw (2).
NOTICE
Property damage may occur!
The rear of the hook must not hit the underside of the bobbin case
holding wire while the hook is completing its rotation.
Adjust the height of the plate (1) accordingly.
