3. An access code is needed to enter the FIT ACCESSORY menu. Enter 538 when
prompted.
4. From the FIT ACCESSORY menu, scroll down to GAS BALLAST and then select
ENTER.
5. Scroll down to 'Fied' and press ENTER to select.
6. The addional gas ballast is now enabled.
3.14 High ow purge and solvent ush set up
WARNING:
By default the DP clean high ow purge and solvent ush assembly draws the
atmospheric air into the dry pumping system. If air is not compable with the user's
process then nitrogen or another inert gas may be used. It is the responsibility of the
user to assess whether the DP clean purge gas is compable with the process.
WARNING:
We recommend the use of water and diluted Locte® 7840 or Locte® Natural Blue®
when performing a solvent ush procedure. It is the responsibility of the user to
assess whether the Locte® 7840/Natural Blue® is compable with the applicaon.
For more informaon refer to the Locte® MSDS and technical datasheet. The
manufacturer states that the Locte® 7840 and Locte® Natural Blue® are not
recommended for use in pure oxygen and/or oxygen rich systems and should not be
selected as a sealant for chlorine or other strong oxidizing materials.
For queries about the solvent compability, contact our applicaons specialists.
WARNING:
Hot steam and liquid will exit the pump during the solvent ush procedure. Ensure
that the exhaust is piped away safely and solvents are disposed of in accordance with
the local and naonal safety and environmental requirements.
CAUTION:
If an inert gas is used in place of atmospheric air for the DP clean purge gas, ensure it
is regulated to atmospheric pressure otherwise the DP clean process may not work
properly and may cause damage to the pump.
The high ow purge and solvent ush procedures are performed by a single assembly
which is supplied as an opon ed in the factory. The actuang valve is operated
pneumacally. Ensure that the pneumac gas supply meets the specicaon given in DP
clean high ow purge/solvent ush opon on page 27.
Use a 3/8 inch compression ng (not supplied) to connect the pneumac supply to the
dry pumping system. For the pump and booster combinaons, the pneumac inlet
connecon is on the rear pump panel (refer to Figure: The controls/connectors on the
rear of the pump (system with rear exhaust and castors/levelling feet ed) item 10). For
the pump‑only systems, refer to Figure: DP clean assembly for the pump only systems,
item 4.
