Note on network settings recovery
I When replacing network controllers or the system board, network
configuration settings in the operating system will be lost and replaced
by default values. This applies to all static IP address and LAN teaming
configurations.
Ensure to note down your current network settings before replacing a
controller or the system board.
9.5.1 Preliminary steps
Perform the following procedures:

Ê Locate the desired server with the ID button.
Ê "Shutting down the server node" on page 39
Ê If applicable, remove all external cables from the server node.
Ê "Removing the server node from the server enclosure" on page 40
9.5.2 Replacing the system board
Ê Remove all cables from the system board.
Ê "Removing memory modules" on page 124
I Ensure to take note of the memory modules’ mounting positions for
reassembly.
Ê Remove all expansion cards as described in chapter "Expansion cards" on
page 91 (if applicable)
I Ensure to take note of the controllers’ mounting positions and cable
connections for reassembly.
