Ê Select your system via Select Product or look under Product Search by Serial-
/Identnumber for your system.
Ê Select your operating system.
Ê Select Flash-BIOS.
For Online Flash
– Select Flash BIOS <System> (ASP for Windows/Linux)
– Download the ASP file (Autonomous Support Package) - a self-extracting
package for online update under Windows/Linux.
For Offine Flash
– Select System Board - Admin package - Compressed Flash Files.
– Download the offered Admin package file for a Flash BIOS Update with a
USB stick.
I If the operating system which you use is not selectable, select any
operating system or choose OS independent and download the Admin
package.
Process Flash BIOS Update
V Caution
The BIOS is stored in a flash memory device. If an error occurs during
the flash BIOS update procedure, the BIOS image in the flash memory
may be destroyed. You can then only restore the BIOS using the Flash
Memory Recovery Mode, see "Flash Memory Recovery Mode" on
page 64. If this is also not possible, the flash memory device has to be
replaced. Contact your customer support Service Desk.
Online Flash: Flash BIOS Update under Windows/Linux
Autonomous PRIMERGY Support Packages (ASP) are self-extracting
packages for online update of BIOS and Firmware.
For Windows:
Ê Double click on the exe-file for starting the installation process.
