10-5-5-3 Basic Probe Cleaning and/or Disinfection
Refer to the Basic User Manual of Voluson i / Voluson e for details on cleaning and desinfection.
To help protect yourself from blood borne diseases, wear approved disposable gloves.
These are made of nitrile derived from vegetable starch to prevent allergic latex
reactions.
!! CAUTION:
Failure to follow the prescribed cleaning or disinfection procedures will void the probe’s
warranty.
DO NOT soak or wipe the lens with any product not listed in the Voluson i / Voluson e Basic User
Manual and/or care card (supplied with the probe). Doing so could result in irreparable damage
to the probe and/or Voluson i / Voluson e system.
!! CAUTION:
Follow the Care Card instructions supplied with each probe (inside the transducer boxes)
for disinfectants and gels that are compatible with the surface material of the probes.

!! CAUTION:
Disinfect a defective probe before you return it. Be sure to tag the probe as being disinfected.

Please be aware of the
sensitive probe head.
TAKE EXTREME CARE!
NEVER place or store a
probe on its scan head!
When disinfecting a probe,
ensure that there is sufficient
space between the probe and
the container bottom!
