Removing a drive blank
1. If installed, remove the security bezel (on page 35).
2. Remove the drive blank.
Installing a hot-plug drive
WARNING:
To reduce the risk of injury from electric shock, do not install more than one drive
carrier at a time.
The chassis can support up to 12 drives in an LFF configuration and up to 24 drives in an SFF
configuration.
To install the component:
1. If installed, remove the security bezel (on page 35).
2. Remove the drive blank ("Removing a drive blank" on page 68).
3. Prepare the drive.
o SFF SmartDrive
o Low-profile LFF hot-plug drive
