iTDC
3 RS-422 CONNECTION USING THE TCP/IP MODULE
(INTERNAL VERSION)
Using one IP (TCP/IP module), multiple iTDCs can communicate with a host computer.
Single unit of main iTDC uses a TCP/IP internal module for LAN communications with the
host computer.
The main iTDC communicates with other iTDC controllers using the RS422 connection.
In this case, iTDCs must be connected via RS422 connection.
1. Connection of first iTDC/iTDC-SR to Host PC
Equip internal TCP/IP module (IIM100) on iTDC/iTDC-SR then, connect by LAN cable
through Host PC and Hub.
2. Connection of first iTDC/iTDC-SR to the other iTDC/iTDC-SRs
I. Firstly, connect first iTDC/iTDC-SR to second iTDC/iTDC-SR as cross type.
i. Connect RS422-TX(+) port of first iTDC/iTDC-SR to RS422-RX(+) of second
iTDC/iTDC-SR.
ii. Connect RS422-TX(-) port of first iTDC/iTDC-SR to RS422-RX(-) port of second
iTDC/iTDC-SR.
iii. Connect RS422-RX(+) port of first iTDC/iTDC-SR to RS422-TX(+) port of
second iTDC/iTDC-SR.
iv. Connect RS422-RX(-) port of first iTDC/iTDC-SR to RS422-TX(-) port of second
iTDC/iTDC-SR.
II. Secondly, connect all iTDC/iTDC-SR from second as direct type.
i. Connect RS422-TX(+) port of iTDC/iTDC-SR to RS422-TX(+) of next
iTDC/iTDC-SR.
ii. Connect RS422-TX(-) port of iTDC/iTDC-SR to RS422-TX(-) of next
iTDC/iTDC-SR.
iii. Connect RS422-RX(+) port of iTDC/iTDC-SR to RS422-RX(+) of next
iTDC/iTDC-SR.
iv. Connect RS422-RX(-) port of iTDC/iTDC-SR to RS422-RX(-) of next
iTDC/iTDC-SR.
v. Install and run iTDC/iTDC-SR Application Software. (STARWATCH iTDC PRO I, II
or STANDARD)
