Using ILS Glide Slope Softkeys
Example of Setting All ILS Glide Slope Parameters
1. Press Preset to place the signal generator in a known preset state.
2. Set the ILS Glide Slope carrier frequency.
a. Press Aux Fctn > Avionics > ILS Glide Slope
b. Press Carrier Freq Index
(Default <value> is 1 and corresponds to 334.70 MHz.)
c. (Optional) Select a <value> from 1 to 40 and press Enter to change
to a different carrier frequency.)
3. Set the ILS Glide Slope up frequency.
a. Press Up/Down
b. Press Up Frequency
(Default <value> is 90 Hz.)
c. (Optional) Select a <value> from 0 Hz to 6 MHz.
4. Set the ILS Glide Slope down frequency.
a. Press Down Frequency
(Default <value> is 150 Hz.)
b. (Optional) Select a <value> from 0 Hz to 10 MHz.
5. Set the ILS Glide Slope phase of the down signal relative to the up.
a. Press Up/Down Phase
(Default <value> is 0.00 deg.)
b. (Optional) Select a <value> from 0.00 deg - 360 deg and press Enter.
6. Set the ILS Glide Slope DDM polarity to fly up or fly down.
a. Press Return
b. Press DDM/SDM
c. Press Fly Up | Down
(Default selection is Up.)
d. (Optional) Select either Up | Down
7. Set the ILS Glide Slope DDM value.
a. Press DDM
(Default <value> is 0.0000.)
b. (Optional) Select a <value> from -0.99 to 0.99 and press Enter.
8. Set the ILS Glide Slope SDM value.
a. Press SDM
(Default <value> is 80%.)
