Ammeter
On/Off
Enables or disables Ammeter Input. In the On status, the Ammeter triaxial
connector’s center conductor is connected to the ammeter and the switch light
turns green. In the Off status, it is connected to the circuit common and the switch
light turns off. Pressing the On (green) switch turns it to the Off status even if the
instrument is in the remote control state.
Turn this switch on to perform the current measurement (and the charge and
resistance measurements on the B2985B/B2987B).
The B2985B/B2987B can perform the voltage measurement regardless of this
switch setting.
Voltage Source
On/Off
(B2985B/
B2987B)
Enables or disables Voltage Source Output. In the On status, the Voltage Source
High terminal is connected to the voltage source and the switch light turns green.
In the Off status, it is opened and the switch light turns off. Pressing the On (green)
switch turns it to the Off status even if the instrument is in the remote control
state.
The switch turns red if the voltage source is in the high voltage state (over 21V).
Rotary knob If the field pointer is in the MOVE (blue) status, turning the knob moves the
pointer. Pressing the knob fixes the pointer position and changes the pointer
status to EDIT (green).
If the field pointer is in the EDIT (green) status, turning the knob changes the value
of the setup parameter specified by the pointer. Pressing the knob fixes the value
and changes the pointer status to MOVE (blue).
For the details, see “Key Functions for Changing the Settings” on page 137.
Null Enables or disables the null (offset cancel) function. See “Null, Offset Cancel” on
page 210 for more information.
Filter If the FILT indicator is turned off, pressing the Filter key opens the Measure Filter
dialog box. Pressing OK after setting up the dialog box enables the filter function
and turns the FILT indicator on.
If the FILT indicator is turned on, pressing the Filter key disables the function and
turns the FILT indicator off.
For the Measure Filter dialog box, see “Measure Filter Dialog Box” on page 175.
Math If the MATH indicator is turned off, pressing the Math key opens the Math
Expression dialog box. Pressing OK after setting up the dialog box enables the
math function and turns the MATH indicator on.
