Display and Assist/Function Keys
Source Function Sub-panel (B2985B/B2987B)
Use this sub-panel to set up the voltage source in the B2985B/B2987B as a sweep
source or a square waveform generator.
To select the source function, use the assist keys displayed when the field pointer
is in the EDIT (green) status on the VS Function field.
• LINEAR SINGLE: Sweep from start to stop in a linear incremental step
• LINEAR DOUBLE: Sweep from start to stop to start in a linear incremental step
• LIST: Sweep of values defined in the List sweep setup list. See “List sweep
setup” on page 154.
• ARB SQUARE: Square waveform output
• OFF: The voltage source works as the DC constant voltage source.
The following setup parameters are available for LINEAR SINGLE, LINEAR
DOUBLE, or LIST.
Start Sets the sweep start value.
Stop Sets the sweep stop value.
Points Sets the number of sweep steps.
Step Sets the sweep step value (incremental step value). Not
available for the LIST sweep operation.
The following setup parameters are available for ARB SQUARE.
Start Sets the base voltage of square waveform.
Peak Sets the peak voltage of square waveform.
Delay Sets a period of base output before peak.
Peak Time Sets a period of peak output.
End Time Sets a period of base output after peak.
