Front Panel Reference
System Key Group
Power-on
PLC Detect Enables or disable to automatically detect the AC power line
frequency when B2980 is turned on, ON (enable) or OFF
(disable)
The detected frequency (50 Hz or 60 Hz) is set to the PLC
value.
Sound Enables or disables the beep and sound. The present setting is displayed on the
softkey label. Pressing the key switches the setting.
OFF Disables the beep and sound.
ON Enables the beep and sound.
Language Sets the remote control command set of this instrument.
The Default softkey is available for specifying the default command set, SCPI
which supports all B2980 functions.
Info. Displays the following four softkeys.
Revision Displays the Revision dialog box which displays the model
number, serial number, firmware revision, CPU FPGA revision,
module revision, installed licenses, system uptime, and battery
cycle count (B2983B/B2987B) of the B2980.
Date/Time Displays the Date and Time dialog box which is used to view or
set the date and time.
Update Used for firmware update.
Demo. Performs demonstration. Press this softkey to display a
confirmation dialog box. Press the OK softkey to start
demonstration, or the Cancel/Local key to cancel.
Factory Reset Clears all user data. Press this softkey to display a confirmation dialog box. Press
the OK softkey to clear it, or the Cancel/Local key to cancel.
