Introduction
Front View
• Rotary knob
If the field pointer is in the MOVE (blue) status, turning the knob moves the
pointer. Pressing the knob fixes the pointer position and changes the pointer
status to EDIT (green). See “To Use the Field Pointer” on page 33.
If the field pointer is in the EDIT (green) status, turning the knob changes the
value of the setup parameter on the pointer. Pressing the knob fixes the value
and changes the pointer status to MOVE (blue).
• Measurement navigation keys
Used to change SPEED and RANGE settings. The following
keys are available.
Coarse Res Coarse resolution.
Increases measurement speed
(decreases aperture time).
Range Changes measurement range up.
[home] Sets AUTO range and Normal auto aperture.
Range - Changes measurement range down.
Fine Res Fine resolution. Decreases measurement speed
(increases aperture time).
• Null key
Enables or disables the null (offset cancel) function. For more detail, see “Null,
Offset Cancel” on page 210.
• Filter key
If the FILT indicator has turned off, pressing the Filter key opens the Measure
Filter dialog box. Pressing OK after setting up the dialog box enables the filter
function and turns the FILT indicator on.
If the FILT indicator has turned on, pressing the Filter key disables the function
and turns the FILT indicator off.
• Math key
If the MATH indicator has turned off, pressing the Math key opens the Math
Expression dialog box. Pressing OK after setting up the dialog box enables the
math function and turns the MATH indicator on.
If the MATH indicator has turned on, pressing the Math key disables the
function and turns the MATH indicator off.
