NOTE
If DCART scheduler does not detect “create gain table” programs in a sched-
ule, it issues a warning to the operator. Such schedule is likely to run with
non-optimal automatic gain settings.

3:24. It is recommended to switch Digisonde
®
to a lower constant gain setting during the night, when smaller
absorption in the ionosphere results in stronger signals.
NOTE
It is important that “create gain table” measurement is configured to the same
constant gain settings as the rest of measurement programs in the schedule.
