STG balancing heads (type of receiver/transmitter unit: compact)
Band (filter) 1: filtering of the signal already demodulated to about 320 Hz.
Band (filter) 2: filtering of the signal already demodulated to about 160 Hz.
Band (filter) 3: filtering of the signal already demodulated to about 80 Hz.
Frequency band selection: press to highlight the involved field, press or
to view the desired icon, then press to confirm.
Example of frequency band definition
The frequency band suggested is the one with the best ratio between contact noise
and background noise.
Select the band
- record the noise value (NOISE) with the wheel away from the part (rest position)
- record the noise value (SIGNAL) during the work cycle (contact condition)
Select the band
- record NOISE and SIGNAL as indicated above
Select the band
- record NOISE and SIGNAL as indicated above
For each band calculate the SIGNAL/NOISE ratio
Select the frequency band with the highest SIGNAL/NOISE ratio.
Note: If the operating conditions (wheel replacement, workpiece replacement,
etc.) are changed, it is advisable to verify the frequency band selection.
13.4.2.
Gain selection
Selection of the gain value (High / Medium / Low).
Gain = amplification factor on the noise measure acquisition.
Gain selection: highlight the involved field with , press or to view the
desired value, and then to confirm.
