4. Service Procedures - Replace Components - Creaser Module

Before you start:
• Remove the motor cover base plate (See Section 4.2.10).
Step Action Information
1 Remove the crease motor belt.
• Loosen the screws that attach
the crease motor to the RH side
plate.
Note: The
top LH screw is a pivot.
The remaining three screws locate
through adjustment-slots.
• Turn the crease motor
counterclockwise to release the
tension on the crease motor belt.
• Pull the belt off the pulley on the
drive motor.
2 Remove the roller drive belt.
• Pull the roller drive belt off the
idler gear.
3 Remove the roller drive pulleys.
• Loosen the two set screws that
attach each pulley.
• Pull each pulley off the roller
shaft.
4 Remove the operating lever
assemblies from the RH end of the
roller shafts.
• Loosen the set screw that
attaches each operating lever
assembly to the roller shaft.
• Pull each operating lever
assembly out of the roller
bearing and off the roller shaft.
5 Remove the screws that attach the
RH side plate
to the creaser unit.
(See Figure 4.153).
6 Remove the RH side plate
assembly
.
• Pull the RH side plate assembly
away from the creaser unit.
• Release the bearings on the
rollers from the bearing housing.

Tools:

• Allen Key: 2.5mm, 3mm, 4mm, 6mm
• Screwdriver: Pozidriv No. 2
• Gear Puller.
