Size of Character Strings
and Parts
Parts that do not contain a character string can be set to any size. When parts
contain characters (e.g. switches), the part size will be limited by the minimum
character size (minimum character size = 8 x 8 dots).
When designing the screen layout, consider the size of the characters being
used and the screen layout design according the number of dots constituting
the screen of PT model being used.
Font Characteristics
Fixed The font can be half size* or normal size, and can be magni-
fied by 1×, 2×, or 4×.
Half-size characters = 8 × 8 dots (H × V)
Normal characters = 16 × 8 dots (H × V)
True Type Character sizes are specified as the number of dots.
10 to 64 dots
Fonts installed with the NV-Designer are used for display.
Windows Character sizes are specified as the number of dots.
10 to 64 dots
Any of the Windows fonts installed in your computer can be
used for display.

Precaution for Correct Operation
Font drawing and character styles are handled using functionality provided by
Windows. The appearance of text depends on the version and type of Windows
being used and the fonts that are installed.
