7-5-3 Operation Modes of Function Switches

Note Function switches include Multifunction Objects, which can perform multiple
operations using one switch. For details, refer to 7-13 Multifunction Objects.
7-5-4 Function Switches Settings
Set The specified bit in the PLC is turned ON.
Reset The specified bit in the PLC is turned OFF.
Momentary The bit is ON as long as the switch is held down.
Alternate Pressing the switch once turns the bit ON or OFF.
Change Screen The display changes to the specified screen.
Value Set A 1-word or 2-word value is written to the specified word or words in the PLC.
Add A 1-word or 2-word value is added to the contents of the specified address in the
PLC and the result is written to the specified address in the PLC.
Subtract A 1-word or 2-word value is subtracted from the contents of the specified address in
the PLC and the result is written to the specified address in the PLC.
Display System Menu Select the screen to be called, such as Clock Set, Contrast, or NV Configuration
Main.
Thumbwheel Switch
A function switch can be used as a thumbwheel switch.
Touching the switch causes the contents of the specified address in the PLC to be
incremented or decremented by 1.

Returns the previous screen
Note: Not recommended when the Operation Security Function is being used.

Used as a switch for the operation security function.
Select the desired function from Login, Logout, Password Change Normal, and
Password Management (Manager Only).
Multifunction Executes multiple operations using one switch.
