8-6-3 Setting Passwords for Operation Security
You can set passwords to enable operation security.
Setting Passwords

1. Select Password from the PT
Menu.
2. The Edit Operation Security
Password Dialog Box will be
displayed.
Click the Control Button to
set the operation security in
the PT Configuration. Refer
to 8-6-5 Operation Security
Settings in the NV Configura-
tion for details.
3. Select the number to edit and
click the Setting Button. The
Operation Security Password
Dialog Box will be displayed.
Make the following settings.
Comment
Enter a comment to identify
the password.
Passwords
Set a password. (Up to 8 al-
phanumeric characters can
be used.)
Security Levels (1 to 15)
The security level can be set.
(Levels 1 to 15 can be set.)
Precaution for Correct Operation
• More than two passwords can be set for the same level.
• You cannot set the same password.
Additional Information
The password settings can be read by reading the screen data from the
NV-Designer. We recommend you also use password protection to pro-
tect the security password settings.
