Setting the Password for the First Time

Security levels can be set for parts and users to restrict the displays and oper-
ations that can be performed. If multiple users are using the PT, disclosure or
mishandling of information can be prevented by placing individual user restric-
tions.
Features • Security levels can be set for all parts.
• Up to 16 security levels can be set and multiple users can be registered in
each level. Up to 64 settings can be registered.
• Different parts can be displayed on the same screen using the different
levels. Switches can be set so that they are displayed but switch opera-
tion is disabled.
• Users can be added or deleted, and passwords can be changed from the
PT.
Security Levels There are 16 levels of security and they are divided into three categories.
Up to 8 characters can be entered for the
password. The password can contain
numbers 0 to 9 and letters A to Z. The
system does not differentiate between
uppercase and lowercase letters.
Changing the Password:
Enter the current password in Old Pass-
word and then enter the new password in
the New Password and Enter New Pass-
word Again Boxes.
Deleting the Password:
Enter only the Old Password. Leave the
New Password and New Password Again
Boxes blank.
Additional Information
Passwords cannot be set unless a computer is connected to a PT that is turned
ON.
Precaution for Correct Operation
Do not forget the password. If you forget the password, the unit memory will have
to be cleared to delete the password.
Security level Restrictions
0 No restrictions. There is no password for level 0.
