7-13 Multifunction Objects
7-13-1 Overview of Multifunction Objects
A Multifunction Object is used to perform multiple operations using one func-
tion switch or custom switch. A Multifunction Object can be used to set opera-
tions, for example, to turn ON multiple bits at the same time or to switch
screens and turn ON a bit at the same time. (Up to 32 operations can be per-
formed.)
Applicable models: NV3Q and NV4W
7-13-2 Multifunction Object Setting Procedure
The following dialog box will be displayed when the Basic Setup Tab is clicked
for a function switch, or the Operation Tab is clicked for a custom switch.
1,2,3... 1. Select the Yes Option in the Multi Function Area.
2. Select the operation to add in the Operation Mode Area, and then click the
Add Button. The operation will be added to the list of operations on the
right. The display colors will be as follows depending on the operation's po-
sition and number of operations that can be registered (i.e., one or multi-
ple).
a. Black: Multiple operations can be registered for this operation mode.
b. Blue: Only one operation can be registered for this operation mode.
These operations will be automatically added at a lower location in the
execution order than operations displayed in black.
c. Red: Only one operation can be set for this operation mode. These op-
erations will be automatically added to the end of the execution order.
