4. Character strings and images can be added to customer switch parts.
Note Custom switches include Multifunction Objects, which can perform multiple
operations using one switch. For details, refer to 7-13 Multifunction Objects.
7-12-2 Creating Lamps and Message Parts.
Lamp and message parts are created in much the same way as a switch part.
For a description of a simple method of creating lamp and message parts,
refer to SECTION 5 Creating and Saving Projects (Including Screen Data).
1. Replacement
This is the same as for switch parts.
2. Display/Hide
Lamps and messages can be displayed and hidden based on the status of
PLC memory.
3. Reverse/Blink
This is the same as for switch parts.
The thickness of the part’s
frame increases. Using the
graphic bar, select a character
string or straight line to create
the desired content within the
frame. Click the OK Button
when you are finished.
When replacing data, multiple
replacement numbers are dis-
played in the window, each
one of which requires the cre-
ation of a display. Click the OK
Button when you are finished.
Note Resize the window to
change the size of a
part.
Additional Information
Because the touch panel is analog, switches do not have to be aligned with a
grid, and can be placed anywhere on the screen. The smallest possible switch
size is 8 x 8 dots.
