Security Functions Section 8-6
Setting Security Security levels can be set for parts. They are set on the Operation Security
Tab Page of the part attributes. There are also screen creation and parts set-
tings required for using the operation security function.
Screen Properties
Login Screen: The user can enter a password to log on to a level.

Password Change and Management Screen Settings
Note (1) The Password Change and Management Screens cannot be accessed
from the menu screen. A switch must be set.
(2) The logged in password cannot be deleted.
1 to 14 Restrictions become higher as the level number increases.
Example: Parts with level 0 to 10 can be used under a level 10
password but level 11 parts cannot be used.
15 All operations are possible. (Administrator)
Passwords can be registered in the PT.

A jump will be made to the login screen for entering pass-
words when the switch is pressed.
For operation secu-
rity: logout
Returns to level 0 from the level where the user is current
logged in.
For operation secu-
rity for changing
passwords
This switch can be used to change a password. A jump will be
made to the fixed PT screen for changing passwords.
For operation secu-
rity for managing
passwords
This switch can be used to add or delete a password. A jump
will be made to the fixed PT screen for managing passwords.

Precaution for Correct Operation
It is possible to return to the screen before you log out with the function switch or
custom switch. Do not use the return to previous screen operation mode if you
want to restrict switching screens using security levels. The settings in the
Change Screen Operation Mode are recommended.
