A typical soft disk error would be an invalid version of the disk firmware.

16. Run the odaadmcli show version command to verify that all firmware
components in the storage expansion are current.
# odaadmcli show version -detail
17. If needed, update the storage shelf and then run the show version command to
confirm that the firmware is current.
# odaadmcli update
# odaadmcli show version -detail
