Unlocking the PSD (Postal In-
spection)

Canada Post requires your postage meter (PSD) to periodically connect for a Postal
Inspection or audit. If you have not connected your system for a period of 40 days your
system will automatically be deactivated.
If your system is deactivated, you have to perform a connection to the Postal Server to
unlock the PSD.
You can also use the Audit function to set the Mailing System time
after Daylight Savings Time transitions, the server connection
synchronizes the Mailing System time and date.
How to Unlock the PSD
To unlock the PSD and manually connect to the Postal Server:
1. Either:
Press and select the path: My Funds
Press or
2. Select Postal Inspection.
The system asks for confirmation.
3. Press [OK] to connect to the Postal Server.
If the audit is successful, the system displays a successful message.
If the audit fails, the system displays a failure message explaining the cause of the
error.Try to correct the cause and retry.
