How to Clean the Cartridge Manually
If automatic cleaning is not sufficient, you can clean the cartridge manually.
To clean the cartridge manually:
1. Open the cover: the ink cartridge moves to the replacement position.
Keep fingers away from the ink cartridge while it is moving to
the replacement position.
2. Press down on the back of the ink cartridge to disengage it.
3. Remove the ink cartridge (see How to Change the Ink Cartridge on page 325).
4. Clean the cartridge with a soft damp cloth.
