ESP-LXIVM Series Controllers
2-Wire Devices
LX-IVM 2-Wire Devices attach directly to the 2-Wire path to control
valves and/or monitor sensors (weather and flow).
Types of 2-Wire Devices
IVM-SOL Integrated Valve Modules
IVM-SOL is used to control compatible Rain Bird Valves such as PEB,
PESB, PGA, BPES and EFB series. IVM-SOL can be used for both sta-
tion and master valves. Compatible valves are also available with a
factory installed IVM-SOL.
IVM-OUT (Output Device)
IVM-OUT 2-Wire control devices can be used to control valves with
DC latching solenoids.
IVM-SEN (Sensor Device)
Flow and weather sensors are connected to the 2-Wire path via IVM-
SEN 2-Wire devices.
IVM-SD (Surge Device)
The IVM-SD provides surge protection for the ESP-LXIVM controller
and the 2-Wire path.
2-Wire Device Addresses
All LX-IVM 2-Wire Devices have a unique five digit address printed
on the label of each device for identification on the 2-Wire path.
Local Weather Sensor
A local weather sensor such as a rain shutoff device can also connect
directly to the IVM 2-Wire Interface Module inside the controller via
a separate wired or wireless connection.
• Both the LX-IVM and LX-IVM Pro support one Local Weather Sen-
sor.
