Normally Closed Master Valve
Normally Closed Master Valves open only when stations are operat-
ing.
At the Master Valve Setup screen, press the + and – keys to select
Normally Closed, then press next.
At the FloZone assignment screen, press the + and – keys to asso-
ciate the MV with the appropriate FloZone, then press Next.
NOTE: A FloZone may have multiple master valves as it’s
source(s), but an MV can only be assigned to a single FloZone.

The Shared MVs screen shows the other MVs associated with
the selected FloZone. Press the Arrow keys to select the desired
FloZone, then press Next.
A review shows that settings for the MV. Press the Done key to
complete the Master Valve setup. Or else press the Back button to
go back and change settings if desired.

Repeat this process to set up additional master valves. Be sure
to note each MV in your Programming Guide for future refer-
ence.
Normally Open Master Valve
Normally Open Master Valves are open all the time and close only
when a flow problem is detected.
NOMV Cycling
In order to maintain the continuity of NOMV diaphragms and sole-
noids, the controller can be programmed to cycle them closed for a
minute.
NOTICE
Each NOMV will be cycled closed for 60 seconds on the first
day of each month. Irrigation is suspended when the NOMV
is shut, so choose a time when no irrigation s scheduled.
At the Master Valve Setup screen, press the + and – keys to select
Normally Open, then press Next.
At the NOMV Cycling confirmation screen, press Next to continue.
