2-Wire Setup
Master Valves
Master Valves Setup tells the ESP-LXIVM controller what types of
master valves (MVs) are used by your irrigation system.
• The LX-IVM supports up to 5 Master Valves (or pump start relays)
and the LX-IVM Pro supports up to 10.
• LX-IVM-Valves can be configured as either a Normally Open Mas-
ter Valve (NOMV) or a Normally Closed Master Valve (NCMV).
NOTE: Pump start relays are set up in the controller as Master
Valves. For more details, see the ESP-LXIVM Field Device Instal-
lation Guide that came with the controller.
Turn the dial to 2-Wire Settings
At the 2-WIRE SETUP screen, with Master Valves selected, press
Next.
At the Master Valve Setup screen, press the + and – keys to set the
desired Master Valve (from 1-10), then press the Right Arrow key.

Address
Press the + and – keys to set the desired Master Valve Address.
Press the Arrow keys to navigate between the number setting
fields. Once all fields are entered, the Next key appears; press
Next.
NOTE: An alarm will show if a duplicate 2-Wire Device address
is entered for more than one sensor. See "Alarms" on page 21
for more details.
