Editing Entries in the Waypoint, Route, or Track Lists
You can also use the Navigator Keypad to edit an existingitem or to name a
new item in the Waypoint List, Route List,or TrackList. You first must enter
theedit mode for the listyou want to modify. Methodsfor editing each list are
describedin therespective sections of this chapter.
➤ To edit an item in a list using the NavigatorKeypad:
1. If necessary, use the right and left arrowkeys to move the cursor to the
desiredcharacterposition.
2. Pressan alphanumeric key until the desired character is displayed. Each
time you pressone of these keys in succession,the next characteron that
key is input.
or
1. Usetheupanddownarrowkeystoscrollthroughthelistofalpha,numeric,
and special characters untilthe desired character is displayed (just as you
wouldwith the trackpad).Notethat you must use this method to input spe-
cial characters;they are not availableusing the alphanumeric keys.
Use the del key to insert a space, if required.
2. Use the arrow keys and alphanumerickeys to input the remainder of the
charactersrequired to completethe editing.
3. When done, press the ins key to enter your changes.
