Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008
Use the following procedure to install the PCL/PostScript 3 driver under the 64-bit version of Windows
Vista or Windows Server 2008.
1. On the [Start] menu, click [Control Panel].
2. Click [Hardware and Sound].
3. Click [Printers].
4. Click [Add a printer].
5. Follow the instructions that appear in the "Add Printer" wizard.
If the printer driver is on the CD-ROM, the location of the driver will be \DRIVERS\(PCL6, PCL5C,
PCL5E, or PS)\x64\(language) or MUI\DISK1. If the installer starts automatically, click [Cancel] to
stop it.
6. Specify a port.
• Availability of ports will vary depending on your operating system and the type of interface you are
using for connection to the printer. For details, see p.9 "Network Connection" or p.35 "Local
Connection".
Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2
Use the following procedure to install the PCL/PostScript 3 driver under the 64-bit version of Windows 7
or Windows Server 2008 R2.
1. On the [Start] menu, click [Devices and Printers].
2. Click [Add a printer].
3. Follow the instructions that appear in the [Add Printer] window.
If the printer driver is on the CD-ROM, the location of the driver will be \DRIVERS\(PCL6, PCL5C,
PCL5E,
or PS)\x64\(language) or MUI\DISK1. If the installer starts automatically, click [Cancel] to
stop it.
4. Specify a port.
