Connecting to ROS
The following describes the various methods for connecting the device:

Connecting to ROS Through a Direct Connection
ROS can be accessed through a direct serial or Ethernet connection.
Using the RS232 Serial Console Port
To establish a serial connection to the device, do the following:
1. Connect a terminal or a computer running terminal emulation software to the RS232 serial console port on
the device. For more information about the RS232 serial console port, refer to the RSG2488 Installation
Guide.
NOTE
The baud rate for the device is printed on the chassis exterior near the RS232 serial console port.
2. Make sure the following settings are configured on the terminal:
• Speed (baud): 57600
