Vx805 Out Of Memory
The VX805 Pin-Pad at times displays an “Out of Memory” error message. After rebooting a couple of times the
“Out of Memory” instruction is sent, and the error is resolved with the rebooting of the Pin-Pads. After some time,
the VX805 may start to display the “Out of Memory” error message again.
Please carefully follow the “Out of Memory” instructions below prior to further troubleshooting.
Some PIN pads loaded with XPI 8.42b/8.43c may be shipped from distributors missing 2 parameters required for
reliable operation. Follow the steps below to set these parameters manually from the PIN pad’s system menu.
1. Press F2 and F4 to enter system mode.
2. The password is: 1 ALPHA ALPHA 6 6 8 3 1; Press ENTER (Alpha is a black key located directly
above the #2 key. Enter is the Green key)
3. Press 2 for “Edit Parameters”; Press ENTER
4. Select 1 for “Group ID”. The password is: 1 ALPHA ALPHA 6 6 8 3 1; Press ENTER.
5. Press ENTER to select “CONFIG.SYS”.
6. Press 1 for “New”.
7. For the parameter name, enter *DHEAP. For the alpha characters, press the associated number key
followed by ALPHA until the correct letter appears. * is located below the #7 key.
8. Press ENTER to confirm the new parameter.
9. For the value, enter 0.
10. Press ENTER to confirm the new value.

Press 1 for “New” again.
12. For the parameter name, enter #CZE. For the alpha characters, press the associated number key followed
by ALPHA until the correct letter appears. # is located below the #9 key.
13. Press ENTER to confirm the new parameter.
14. For the value, enter 1.
15. Press ENTER to confirm the new value.
16. Press CANCEL.
17. Press 1 for “Restart”.
