Integrated Payment Transactions
The operation examples described here are shown using the Datacap IPTran-LT with the vx805 Pin-Pad. Other
Datacap approved pin-pads can be used.
The procedure below applies to Miscellaneous Tender keys set to connect to the EFT device and the EFT Key
Type set for Credit or Cash Benefit.
Sample Transaction - Credit
Close the previous day’s batch before beginning a new sales day. The new batch is opened when the previous
batch is closed.
1. Register a normal transaction.
2. Touch the appropriate MISC TEND key. At the register, the message “WORKING” displays:
3. At the PIN-Pad the message displays:
SALE
$2.00 – OK?
4. Press the GREEN button on the PIN-Pad keypad.
5. Insert the EMV card into the PIN-Pad. The PIN-Pad will display “PLEASE WAIT”, then “DO NOT
REMOVE CARD”, and then “PROCESSING”. When Complete, the “APPROVED” message will
display.
6. Remove the card from the PIN-Pad.
7. At the register, the receipt and card draft are printed.
