Navigation Tips
Navigating the screens within the Sam4POS application is very intuitive. Screens are setup with easily identifiable
icons to quickly access and select the various program areas and options. Many of the icons used are common
throughout the operation and programming screens.
Common Icons
Icon Description
Back Arrow is used to exit the current Mode selection.
APP Launcher – Utility Information Icon – Tap to display Memory Usage percentage,
Memo Pad, Team Viewer, and Favorites selections.
** Refer to the expanded operator screen title bar shown below.
Memory Usage – Tap the icon to display the percentage Memory Usage Data. The
Storage Threshold percentage can be set in Option\System Option.
Memo Icon – Opens the Memo\Reminder Notepad.
Table Map – Tap this icon to open the table map (if used).
Receipt On/Off – Tap this icon to toggle the receipt printing On & Off.
Favorites icon, white is not added to favorites, gold indicates selection is added to
favorites.
License Information for the Sam4POS terminal. Touch this icon to display the terminal
License information:
• Green Checkmark: Normal license is active.
• Yellow Checkmark: License Expiring Soon (within 30 days)
• Red Checkmark: Expired or No License. Will also display red when the terminal is
not online. After 31 days of not being online this icon will display “DEMO”.
Connection method. Tap this icon to access the main Android, Wireless & Network
settings, the Manager Password is required for access. (Registers do not need to be online
for normal operation.)
• If the terminal is not connected to the internet, the connection method may
indicate: **DEMO** or **DISCON 1 DAY** this is normal and does not affect
software or register operation, even when this number reaches “0”.
Return icon – is used to go back to the previous screen/selection.
Mode Sub Menu icons, used to display/hide the sub menu for the current mode.
Add Record – used throughout programming to add new entries to the program
category.
Menu icon – used to access sub-menu selections for editing the current category
database.
GOTO – This icon appears on many programming screens, allows you to jump to the
programming options for that program area, group, recipe or MLU etcetera, from within
the current program area.
Drop Down button opens a list of selections for the current program option.
