Example:
Settings:
1. Select the "Enable" setting in the "SSM with hysteresis" drop-down list in the "SSM"
screen form.
The "Velocity hysteresis" input field is displayed together with the "Filter time" field.
2. Enter the required value in mm/min in the "Velocity hysteresis" (p9547) field.
3. Enter the required limit value in mm/min in the "Velocity limit" (p9546) field.
4. Specify a time value for the PT 1 filter in the "Filter time" (p9545) field.
5. Click "Save project" in the toolbar to save the changes in the project.
SSM without encoder
Without an encoder, the "Safe Speed Monitor" essentially functions exactly the same as the
general "Safe Speed Monitor with encoder".

Setting of the OFF1 or OFF3 ramp-down time
If the OFF1 or OFF3 ramp
-down time is too short or the difference between the SSM limit
speed and the shutdown speed is too small, the "Speed below limit value" signal may not
change to 1, because no actual speed value could be determined below the SSM limit before
pulse suppression occurred. In this case, the OFF1 or OFF3 ramp
-down time or the margin
between SSM speed limit and shutdown speed should be increased.
