LocationoftheInterfaceUnit
TheSonarInterfaceUnitshouldbemountedverticallywiththe
cableinletdownwardsonasidewallinsideaconsole,cabinetor
desk.Provideenoughspaceforeasyaccessforcableconnections
totheunit.Thecompasssafedistancetobeallowedforwhen
planningtheunit’slocationare:
•StandardCompass:TBDm.
•SteeringCompass:TBDm.
Locationoftheaudiosystem
Theaudiosystemmustincludeanamplierandoneormore
loudspeakers.Choosingalocationandinstallationoftheitems
shouldbedonewithregardtothefunctionalityprovided,such
asaccesstothevolumecontrol.Theoutputfromthesonar
systemmayalsobeconnectedtoanexistingstereosysteminthe
wheelhouse.Thecompasssafedistancetobeallowedforwhen
planningthelocationoftheaudiosystemdependsonthetypeof
systemused.
