17. Velocity sensor sensitivity adjustment
(EXCEPT TRV14E)
The “Velocity Sensor Sensitivity Adjustment” is necessary only
when the gyro sensor is replaced. If microprocessors or circuit board
is not replaced, this adjustment is not necessary. Make operation
check only.

Adjustment procedure:
Note 1 : Caution when replacing parts
The two types of parts : ENC05GA and ENC05GB are
supplied. Use the same type of sensor as that of the
defective sensor. If different type of either ENC05GA or
ENC05GB is used, picture can vibrate vertically or
horizontally during camera-shake correction. After
replacement, make adjustment as described.
Note 2 : Caution on angular speed sensor
The angular speed sensor has high precision vibrator
inside. If the sensor is dropped, balance of the vibrator is
lost resulting in faulty operation. Handle the sensor
carefully.
Note 3 : The sensor sensitivity is indicated on the surface of the

2 Adjust SE651 (vertical direction correction) first :
Read the sensor sensitivity value which is indicated on the replacement gyro sensor
(SE651). Calculate the following equation (decimal calculation) to obtain the D

3 F 5A Round the number D1' to count fractions of 0.5 and over as a unit and cut away the rest.
Then convert the D
1' into the hexadecimal number.
(Use page 6-12 〈How to convert the hexadecimal number to decimal number〉 or
“Hexadecimal-Decimal Conversion Table”.) The result hexadecimal number is D
1.
Set the data D
1 to page : F, address : 5A, and press the PAUSE button.
4 Adjust then SE650 (horizontal direction correction) :
Read the sensor sensitivity value which is indicated on the replacement gyro sensor
(SE650). Calculate the following equation (decimal calculation) to obtain the D
