Purging the Printhead of Air Bubbles
If print quality is inconsistent, the Ink Lines or Printhead may have air bubbles that need to be
purged. To remove bubbles from the ink Lines and Printhead, follow the steps for
commissioning the Printhead (see “Commissioning the Printhead” on page 63).
External Cleaning
With the exception of the Nozzle Face, the outside surfaces of the Printhead and Controller can
be sprayed with compatible external cleaning fluid and gently wiped clean with a clean cloth.
Never immerse the components in water or cleaning fluids.
ATTENTION: Use only Squid Ink approved fluids for cleaning or flushing the
Nozzle Face. Use only the appropriate cleaning or flushing fluid for the specific ink
being used (see “Inks and Fluids” on page 133).
