9. At cycle completion, undissolved
residues are present in Reliance
™
CDS Chemical Delivery System or
Reliance dry chemistry container.
1. Reliance CDS not properly closed and locked before cycle.
a. Remove any endoscopes and accessories present in control
handle boot(s) and endoscope processing support baskets
and pegs.
b. Follow disposal instructions provided in Reliance dry
chemistry package insert or refer to S
ECTION 4.17.
c. ENDOSCOPES AND ACCESSORIES MUST BE
REPROCESSED THROUGH A COMPLETE RELIANCE EPS
CYCLE (refer to S
ECTION 4).
2. Endoscope processing support not properly placed within
chamber.
a. Remove any endoscopes and accessories present in control
handle boot(s) and endoscope processing support baskets
and accessory pegs.
b. Follow disposal instructions provided in Reliance dry
chemistry package insert or refer to S
ECTION 4.17.
c. ENDOSCOPES AND ACCESSORIES MUST BE
REPROCESSED THROUGH A COMPLETE RELIANCE
EPS CYCLE (refer to S
ECTION 4).
3. Defective Reliance CDS inlet valve.
a. Remove any endoscopes and accessories present in control
handle boot(s) and endoscope processing support baskets
and accessory pegs.
b. Follow disposal instructions provided in Reliance dry
chemistry package insert or refer to S
ECTION 4.17.
c. ENDOSCOPES AND ACCESSORIES MUST BE
REPROCESSED THROUGH A COMPLETE RELIANCE
EPS CYCLE (refer to S
ECTION 4).
d. Call STERIS.*
4. Plastic plugs within Reliance CDS are missing.
