2.6.3 Settings in the cutting software
2.6.3.1 Using GoSign
When GoSign is used to send the cut data to the cutter, you need to use either colours or layers
to determine which tool will be used for a particular cut line. Summa provides templates and
swatch libraries for Illustrator and colour palettes for Corel. If not availbe use a colour named
Draw or give the layer as name Draw. In GoSign link the name Draw the to the extra pen tool.
If necessary GoSign can be set up so that other names of cours and templates can be linked
to the extra pen tool.
The order in which the tools are used is set with GoSign.
2.6.3.2 Other software
Other software refers to the extra pen as the ‘extra pen’ or as ‘pen 4’ (P4 or SP4). In other
software it is usually possible to set the order of the tools as needed.
